Oboro no Ichi, in the store’s words

Sources checked Steam appdetails and the English store page, 7 Nov 2026. Steam community announcement Devlog 1, dated 13 May 2026.

Quick answer

Oboro no Ichi is TheLaba’s single-player simulation on Steam (AppID 4559930). The store date is 9 November 2026. On 7 November 2026 the appdetails payload still marked it coming soon, on Windows and macOS, and not free.

The short description is the whole pitch: build and manage a spiritual market inspired by Japan, welcome wandering spirits, produce and sell resources, and grow the space through memories and a cozy atmosphere.

The longer text splits that into a market between memories, a space you connect from stalls, buildings, and pathways, a loop of production, sales, and appeal, and a calm pace with no rush.

Early Access is planned for about 6–12 months. The developer says the core loop is already playable. There is no redeem-code program in the sources checked, and no public Steam price.

This is the overview for Oboro no Ichi before the 9 November 2026 Early Access unlock. It stays with the sentences Steam and the developer have already printed. It does not invent stall names, recipes, yields, or a tier list. How the market is framed is on Market. How space is laid out is on Build. What the store does and does not say about structures is on Stalls.

What Oboro no Ichi is

The store short description is one sentence:

Build and manage a spiritual market inspired by Japan, welcome wandering spirits, produce and sell resources, and grow your space through memories and a cozy atmosphere.

The longer store text titles the setting A Market Between Memories. It calls Oboro no Ichi a market suspended between memories, where lost souls seek peace. You build, expand, and manage that market, welcome wandering spirits, and shape a place that can grow alongside them.

Steam’s genre field is Casual, Indie, Simulation, and Early Access. The only player category is Single-player. There is no multiplayer category and no controller category in the 7 November 2026 payload. User tags in the store page markup that day included Building, Relaxing, Cozy, Management, Resource Management, Isometric, City Builder, and Atmospheric, along with others. Those tags are not the genre field, and they can change.

The 13 May 2026 announcement, Devlog 1 — The Market of Memories, calls Oboro no Ichi a cozy market-building game in a spiritual world where wandering souls can rest, trade away their memories, and slowly find peace. That post is the place to read the world note. It is summarized on Market, with the date attached.

The loop the store describes

Nothing in the sources checked is a build order or a recipe. The safe sequence is the one the store repeats.

Build and grow. You design the space, connecting stalls, buildings, and pathways so the place feels lively and harmonious. Each structure has a specific role: produce resources, supply your stalls, and grow the market one step at a time. See Build and Stalls.

Run the loop. You balance beauty and function. You organize production, manage sales, expand the market, and raise its appeal so more spirits visit. The store calls this a relaxing cycle that is easy to grasp and still full of choices.

Keep the pace. The closing lines say there is no rush in Oboro no Ichi. Only the slow drifting of spirits, the sound of the wind, and a market that grows alongside them.

Store screenshots match that setting in pictures, not in a manual. They show an isometric night market of wooden buildings, stone paths, lanterns, water, and small figures. Several frames include a top-center button that reads Open Market or Close Market. One frame shows a selected stall with a details panel. Another shows a grid of placeable objects. This site does not copy the numbers, item names, or prices out of those frames. A promotional screenshot is not a balance sheet.

The store page also lists two trailers by name: Oboro No Ichi - Gameplay Trailer and Oboro No Ichi - Official Story Trailer. The capital N is how those titles are stored. The game’s own name field is Oboro no Ichi.

Early Access, in the developer’s words

The store page is headed Coming Soon To Early Access. The standard Steam note applies: an Early Access game is unfinished and may change. The developer’s answers, quoted from that page on 7 November 2026, are the current plan.

TheLaba says Early Access was chosen because Oboro no Ichi grows together with its players. The core — building, management, and the gameplay loop — is described as already playable. New content, systems, and possibilities are meant to keep the relaxing tone. Community feedback is how the developer wants to balance management depth and a cozy atmosphere.

The expected Early Access window is about 6–12 months. TheLaba says that window may move with feedback, with a polished full version as the goal.

The same answer says the Early Access version already includes the full core experience, and that the full version is planned to add:

  • new interactions with spirits
  • expanded market customization options
  • new items and structures
  • deeper events and gameplay dynamics during market hours

A later answer repeats the current state: you can build and manage the market, connect structures, produce and sell resources, and welcome spirits, inside a loop called stable and satisfying, with room left for more content.

On price, the only sentence is that the game will be available at a discounted price during Early Access. No number is printed. On community, TheLaba says feedback will come through Discord and other channels, describes the work as a solo developer, and promises regular updates and a roadmap. The store page links Discord, YouTube, X, Bluesky, Instagram, Threads, and TikTok. The website field in appdetails was empty.

ReviewsNo user-review block on the store page. The game was not out yet.

The full game’s appdetails demos array is app 5271720. The store page’s embedded data labels that id as a standalone demo shown above the purchase option. The same parent payload also places 5271720 in the dlc array. The child app’s type is demo, and it is free, so this site treats it as the demo, not as a paid expansion. Its name is Oboro no Ichi Demo. This wiki has not played it, so demo-only differences are not written up here.

Age-rating blocks in the same payload use generated codes: DEJUS l, Steam Germany 0, and IGRS 3, each with required_age 0 and empty descriptors. The top-level required_age is 0. Content-descriptor ids were empty. This page does not translate those codes into a content warning the payload did not write.

Platforms, languages, and requirements

Steam’s supported_languages string lists nine languages and marks each with an asterisk defined as full audio support: English, Italian, Spanish - Spain, Simplified Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Russian, French, and German. The store language table also shows interface, full audio, and subtitles for the rows it prints, and it points at all nine. This wiki is English only.

Windows minimum, and the only Windows block printed:

  • OS: Windows 10 (64-bit)
  • Processor: Intel Core i3-2100 or AMD FX-6300
  • Memory: 4 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 / AMD Radeon HD 7850 with 2 GB VRAM
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Storage: 5 GB available space

macOS minimum:

  • Requires an Apple processor
  • OS: macOS 12.0 Monterey
  • Processor: Apple M1
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: Apple M1 integrated GPU (Metal support)
  • Storage: 5 GB available space

No recommended block was in that payload. Linux requirements were empty, matching platforms.linux: false.

Other categories on the full game: Adjustable Text Size, Camera Comfort, Color Alternatives, Custom Volume Controls, Adjustable Difficulty, Mouse Only Option, Playable without Timed Input, Save Anytime, Stereo Sound, Subtitle Options, Steam Cloud, and Family Sharing. One further field came back as a token rather than a finished English label: #category_playable_at_your_own_pace (id 80). The game was still marked coming soon, so a category on the list is not the same as a feature already tested in a public launch build. No achievements block was in the payload, so this page does not invent a count.

What this guide will not invent

After 9 November 2026, a line on this site is only as current as the date in the header. TheLaba asked players to follow development on Discord. That server, and the Steam page, stay ahead of a fan summary.
